Ila brings a large capacity for caring and a listening touch to her clients. Bodywork has a way of bringing people out of their heads and into their bodies, their breath and the present -where deep healing can arise. This notion is what motivates Ila to give her hands to the healing arts.

Ila’s path of service to others via therapeutic touch was sparked during a period of her own deep healing. While under the care of an indigenous healer, she did not expect to discover her life’s purpose. During this transformative journey, Ila was introduced to her own capacity to help others through bodywork. Soon after this initial spark, in 2009 she went on to complete massage therapy training at Stillpoint School of Massage in Massachusetts. Since that initial training, with her insatiably curious mind, Ila continues to develop skills to fulfill her heartfelt motivation to serve others well.

Ila integrates various modalities including soothing Swedish Massage, therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Neurosomatic Therapy, and Trigger Point Therapy. Blending techniques, sessions are tailored to meet clients individual needs and goals with the intention of promoting an improved sense of well-being, relaxation, and pain relief. Ila has repeatedly received the praise from clients that she provides a touch that is somehow both soft and strong.

Training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy informs the work by providing a more specific method to address clients central nervous systems; this offering encourages deep relaxation and mental unwinding. Restrictions are released with gentle steady pressure. These subtle but profound techniques can be incorporated into a massage or provided as the core of a session.

Ila is honored to provide bodywork at her office in downtown Northampton, and is available for retreats near or far, special events, and, in some cases, in-home sessions.
